WILLOWBROOK ON COUNTRYFILE

On Sunday 9th July Rushden Lakes Retail and Leisure Park was featured on Countryfile on BBC One. In the episode, presenter Anita Rani focused on the success of the development and the future potential to introduce a new audience to the nature reserve. With bird watching facilities, kayak and canoe hire and wildlife centre, Anita Rani describes Rushden Lakes as “a shopping centre with nature at its heart”.

Willowbrook Construction played an important role in completing the substructures and drainage works on site. This included offsite foul pumping stations and rising mains, concrete and steel driven piles together with reinforced pile caps, in-situ ground beams, lift and escalator pits, and reinforced substructure works for the children’s wet play area located within the existing lake.
